Global carpet tile manufacturer Interface is now offering its most sustainable carpet tiles with greater choice than ever before. More than 365 colours and 20 styles across the company’s diverse product range are now available with 100% recycled yarn for a greatly reduced environmental impact.
Customers can now choose from new colours in the popular Biosfera collection, several brand new ranges as well as new ‘100% recycled yarn’ versions of Interface’s best-selling products. Interface was the first company in the industry to develop a product with 100% recycled nylon yarn, when it introduced Biosfera I in 2011 – now one of its best selling collections ever. Featuring products with half the carbon footprint of a typical carpet tile, recycled materials in the backing and a minimal amount of yarn, Biosfera I is the result of Interface redesigning its products to reduce their largest environmental impact – the extraction and use of raw materials. Steven Pratt, Regional Director Middle East, Interface, said, “We know that our customers want to buy sustainable products – the popularity of Biosfera proves this – and are now delighted to be able to offer them what we believe is the biggest, brightest and most stylish range of sustainable carpet tiles on the market today. “So, whatever our customers are looking for – whether structured, brightly coloured, patterned, random design or Microtuft products – we have the carpet tiles with 100% recycled yarn to match their needs. In fact, we have a different product for every day of the year. Buying sustainable products shouldn’t mean compromising on colour and style – and now it doesn’t have to.” Interface products with 100% recycled yarn include:
Urban Retreat This new launch is inspired by people’s instinctive love of nature, a science known as ‘Biophilia’. Available in three distinctive designs, it offers an elegant solution for built environments wanting to create a connection with the outside, inside. In addition to 100% recycled yarn, Urban Retreat also contains a high proportion of recycled content in the backing.
Monochrome Designers are increasingly moving away from one continuous floor covering and using combinations of colours, textures, patterns and materials to create distinct zones for different activities. Monochrome responds to this trend and introduces more possibilities, with 48 colours, to explore the concepts of creative nesting and floor zoning.
Biosfera – new colours One of the fastest growing new products in Interface’s portfolio for years, Biosfera is now available in an even greater choice of colours. A number of Interface’s most popular ranges are now available with 100 recycled yarn, from the on-trend Metropolis Etruria to the versatile Equilibrium.
Interface was one of the first companies to publicly commit to sustainability, when it made a pledge in the mid-nineties to eliminate its impact on the environment by 2020. Known as Mission Zero®, it influences every aspect of the business and inspires the company to continually push the boundaries in order to achieve its goal.
